Privacy & Data Statement

The controller is the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL), acting through the Aviation Learning Centre, Luxembourg. Questions about this statement may be sent to elpac@eurocontrol.int.

This site provides public information about the ELPAC test: its design, its results, the validity argument, assessor training and the available documents. There is no visitor login and no registration. The only form on the site is the optional feedback form described in section 6.

The ELPAC test application is a separate service at elpactest.eu (opens in a new tab). It has its own terms and privacy information, and this statement does not cover it.

This website uses no advertising and no third-party tracking scripts, and it does not build profiles of visitors. It does offer simple visitor measurement (page views, referring page, browser type and approximate country), which relies on one short-lived cookie named session-id with a lifetime of one week.

That measurement runs only if you agree to it. You are asked once, nothing is stored before you answer, declining is as easy as accepting, and you can change your mind at any time through the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer. Full details are in the Cookie Notice.

If you use the light/dark toggle in the header, your display theme preference is stored locally in your browser only and is never transmitted.

The hosting infrastructure records standard technical log data (IP address, browser type and timestamp) to keep the site available and secure. These logs are kept for a limited period and are not used to build profiles or to identify individual visitors.

If you send an email to the ELPAC mailbox, your address and the content of your message are processed for the sole purpose of answering you. The legal basis is the performance of a task carried out in the public interest. Correspondence is retained in line with EUROCONTROL's records management policy.

The feedback form collects only what you type: the topic, your message and, if you choose to provide them, your name and email address. Both are optional; leave them blank to send feedback anonymously. An email address is used only if we decide to come back to you.

Submissions are stored in a database hosted in the European Union and can be read only by the ELPAC team. A one-way technical fingerprint of your connection is stored for a short period to limit automated abuse of the form; it is not used to identify you. Feedback is kept for as long as it remains relevant to improving ELPAC, and can be deleted earlier on request via elpac@eurocontrol.int.

You have the right to ask for access to your personal data and, subject to the conditions of the applicable regulation, its rectification, erasure or restriction, and to object to its processing. Requests may be sent to elpac@eurocontrol.int.

You may also lodge a complaint with the European Data Protection Supervisor or with your competent national supervisory authority.

Processing is carried out under Regulation (EU) 2018/1725 on the protection of personal data by Union institutions, bodies, offices and agencies, and, where applicable, in alignment with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
